As competition week is getting closer and closer, we’ve seen our robot slowly come together. This week the Mechanical teams were finishing up assembling the mechanisms and building a practice robot. Furthermore we used a CNC mill for the first time in our team’s history. We hope its improved weight reduction and machining speed will allow us to manufacture higher-quality parts. Additionally, the CAD team printed out their virtual designs and tweaked them accordingly. The Electrical team also finished wiring the electrical for the robot, and the Programming team worked on programming the controls for the robot. Someone also came in and talked to them about vision systems.

While the engineering teams have been working hard, the business teams have not lagged behind either. The Chairman’s team turned in their award submission for the Chairman’s Award, and the Photo/Video team finished the Chairman’s video, worked on individual picture retakes, and the thank you sponsors video. The Business teams have submitted the submission for the Woodie Flowers Award, which recognized mentors who lead, inspire, and empower students. The Imagery team is just as busy and has been working hard to make posters for the pit and covers for engineering and the business plan. The PR team has been planning the Meet the AdamBots event on the 23rd of February, hope to see you there!
