AdamBots FRC & OCCRA Team 245

I have been involved with FIRST both as a coach and mentor for the last 8 years because of my two kids. I decided to get involved with AdamBots, when my older son moved to 9th grade. It is a way to give back to the community, foster next generation of STEM innovators and experience the thrill of seeing kids solve complex problems and evolve into confident individuals. It gives me immense satisfaction, when the kids grasp complex technical concepts or overcome challenges.

What is your favorite memory from robotics?

Coaching elementary school and mentoring middle school kids. Watching them get excited with every small win.

What have you learned from being on the team?

Team is very dedicated and independent. Team members are respectful towards each and also towards mentors. I also learnt to be an active listener and to have patience.

Do you have any tips for the current AdamBots?

Continue to work as a team, be creative and have fun. Mentor and teach the new kids coming to the team.
