The 2019 Season

The 2019 season saw incredible success for our team. The new game this year, Deep Space, was an space-themed game that involved placing kickballs into goals and securing them with flat circular panels while being challenged by vision restraints from a “sandstorm”, during which the drivers’ view of the field is obstructed. Our robot, Valentina, did an impressive job scoring substantial amount of points which led the AdamBots to finish as finalists at Troy and Kettering and even as the winner at Kingsford. Additionally, the AdamBots business subteams strived to get to the top as they won the Entrepreneurship Award at Kettering and at the Michigan State Championship.

Kettering 1st District Event

The AdamBots attended their first district event at Kettering University. Along with 40 other teams, we showcased our robot, named Valentina, for the first time at the Week 1 event. With the support of the 75 attending AdamBots in the stands, our drive team successfully brought us to the end of the event as finalists. The Business Planning team brought us the Entrepreneurship Award, which is awarded based on a team’s business plan.
