I saw how much my older brother enjoyed robotics from the time and effort he poured into it. I wanted to see if I would love it as much as he did, and I do.

What is your favorite team memory?

My favorite team memory will probably always be from 2023, the Standish-Sterling travel competition: Jacob Martincic buying a whole pizza for $15 like 2 minutes before we were to go to a fully paid-for team dinner.

What have you learned from being on the team?

I’ve learned practical skills like how to use Adobe Photoshop and exploit every feature it has, basic programming, and presentations/public speaking. I’ve also learned a lot about teamwork, communication, leadership, and responsibility.

What is special about FIRST?

FIRST allows people from all over the world to come together and bond over robotics, whether they’re engineers or not. It’s enabled me to meet some of my absolute closest friends, and its concept of Gracious Professionalism allows every competition to remain fun and spirited with well-enforced good sportsmanship.
