This week, we had our first competition of the season. We did very well, winning 6 qualification matches and losing the other ones. We ranked 10th out of 39 teams in the end, and we got selected by Alliance 5 for the play-off matches. Our alliance partners were Team 8126, the Control Freaks from Vicksburg MI, and Team 11386, the PantherBots from Climax MI. We won 2 playoff matches and lost 2 playoff matches, and we were the semi-finalists. We also won the most prestigious award in FIRST, the Impact award, and we were able to qualify for states.

Our star team of the week was Scouting, where they have been working very hard at the competition. They have been doing match scouting, where they watch and analyze the match and write down info about their assigned robot, like how well they played defense and how much fuel they scored. They literally need the vision of a hawk and a really fast finger while watching the whole match because of how much fuel gets scored in the span of 3 seconds. They were also busy with alliance scouting and to look for robots that can work really well with ours. Overall, they have worked hard and effectively, and they are a key component to strategy in the competitions.

The competition was really fun and the Adambots enjoyed it a lot. We had good food too where we ate a lot of pizza, sandwiches and many more tasty foods.
