Week 4

Welcome back to star teams of the week! This week features the Programming and Website teams. Yes, we’re going to talk about ourselves because after all, we are quite an important subteam too 🙂

We interviewed one of the team leads from Programming, Sid G., who we thank for this update. The team has split up into smaller sub-teams to work on coding different parts of the robot, such as the robot intake, drive train, and motors. They’re using code from last year as inspiration for writing this year’s code, so about 90% of the code for our goated robot will be freshly written. Programming team, we pray for your fingers and maybe if you accept with graciousness like you’re supposed to, they won’t be jinxed or broken!

Now that we have an update for both Electrical and Programming, it’s up to you to determine who is the second most important subteam on the Adambots. We actually had a new proposal last week, what if one can’t survive without the other? What if they can BOTH coexist at second most important on the team? Let us know your thoughts on this.

And now, it’s time to enjoy some self love as the website team. Of course, we’re the one giving you the tea, updating all the pictures and profiles, and so much more, so you just can’t miss us! Every page you see, we’ll be there ;). The screen you’re looking at right now? Done by us. You’re welcome. In all seriousness, our team is hard at work making sure many parts of our website are up to date and intact. Some students have been working on updating student pages and adding new pages wherever necessary, and others have been making sure the surveys work to collect information. Without the surveys, we can’t do anything to the website that is accurate. Truly, we’re the subteam that actually cares about everyone and doesn’t overlook anything because we need everyone’s effort to make this happen.

In fact, this blog is brought to you by yours truly, Shriya W. and Tanvi K., and hopefully you’ve been enjoying it more with our humor since we’ve been developing a good voice for the team. Obviously we want to make sure everyone is appreciated here, but also let you know that it is super fun to be on a team as awesome as the Adambots!

This week’s lunch was Super Bowl Theme, where the parents landed a touchdown with the tastyness of food. We had tons of Macaroni and cheese, samosa, meatballs and delicious fancy mini Bundt cakes.
