Week 3
Welcome back to the second edition of Star Teams of the week! As you know, this week features the Electrical and CAD teams.
In Electrical, the second(?) most important team in robotics, we interviewed team lead Aarya Yalala. The team began working on the brain board and wiring, a key component in operating the robot, and as of now they plan to focus on finishing it. Until then, they are training all new members and making sure they know what they are doing so they don’t accidentally electrocute themselves! D:
Meanwhile, CAD (Computer Aided Design) plans to build the intake (grabs the scoring element), console, hopper (to hold scoring elements, like the fuel this year), and the turret (shooting mechanism that will lead up to victory). They have meticulously measured out every part of the robot and are working hard to make sure the model is accurate. After they finish the plans, they will give it to Mechanical to start building the official Adambots 2026 robot.
Since some teams have more work than others, some are helping them out if they finish their work early. We really appreciate their help for keeping the team together.
Shoutout to the lovely parents who are providing us delicious lunches and keeping us fed through these rough winter days . We really appreciate you!!! <3 This week for lunch, the theme was Breakfast for Lunch, where everyone enjoyed Timbits, Muffins, Casseroles, French Toast, Pancakes and many more tasty delicacies.
Another reminder that the PTSA is hosting a STEM + Families Day on February 7th in the Cafeteria, from 8AM to 2PM.
Thank you for actually reading through the blog! You deserve an award 🏆 You dropped this king/queen 👑
Next week, our spotlight will be on the Programming subteam. Currently, Mechanical is obviously above everyone, but who comes next? Electrical or Programming? 🤔
