This year we decided to switch things up and bring something new to our blog!
Now featuring: Star Teams of the Week!!
For our star teams of the week, we have the Mechanical Subteam and the Photo-Video team

From the Mechanical Subteam, we interviewed a really hard-working student, Charlie Hall, to see what they’ve been up to these past two weeks and what their future plans will be. Currently, they have been working really hard on prototyping and developing the best designs for our soon-to-be winning team robot. Some specific important parts they are working on is the intake, carousel, and kicker mechanism which are going to eat up in the competition. They are finalizing everything right now and are getting ready to build the robot. They have also been tackling some other tasks like re-decorate the totally unchaotic mech room and renovating and building a new cart.

We have also interviewed a mentor of the photo/video team, Mrs. Arango. Our photo and video team has also been very busy at the start of the season, working with the other subteams to document all of our progress. During Week Two, their main focus was getting the student and team photos for the website team to work with. They’re the website team’s best friend! They also began helping with the video for the Impact team’s presentation, which will be their main focus for the next two weeks. Right now they are in the planning and gathering stage.

The PTSA is hosting a STEM + Families Day on February 7th in the Cafeteria, from 8AM to 2PM, so make sure to check it out because the robotics team will be active there!
