2nd Competition: Troy District #1

Written by AdamBot Student on March 31, 2024 in 2014 FIRST

The AdamBots had a very successful weekend at the Troy #1 District Competition on March 23-24, 2024. The Team finished in 6th place out of 42 teams during the qualification rounds with a record of 9 wins and 3 losses.

We were the number five alliance captain, and selected FRC Team #1, the Juggernauts from Oakland Schools Technical Campus – Northeast, as our first pick. We then selected FRC Team #7178, team Yeti, from Walled Lake High Schools to complete the alliance. This was a great partnership, and the alliance finished the playoffs with a record of three wins, one loss, and one tie (which we lost on the tiebreaker). The alliance finished as the third-place team at the event!

The Adambots also earned the Impact Award, which is the most prestigious award at FIRST and honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the mission of FIRST. This qualifies us to compete for this award at the Michigan State Championship.

Overall, we are very high in the State, currently ranked 20 th out of 514 teams, after week number four. We have qualified for the State Championship on April 4-6, 2024 at Saginaw Valley State University.

We are excited for the upcoming weeks as the season continues! See you at states!
