Seventh week

Written by Eryn Yang on February 24, 2024 in 2014 FIRST

This week, the Engineering subteams have been making the final touches to the robot and preparing for our first competition next weekend!

The Mechanical subteam finished the robot as they attached the motor and began drive team practices. The Electrical subteam wired the climbing harness motors and added limelights. They are now testing batteries to prepare for competition. The Programming subteam worked on the arms and wrist PID tuning. They also got the robot to follow the auton path and successfully get 2 pieces during auton. The CAD team is working on designing the shooter/intake parts of our robot and finished putting together the electrical diagram for the poster. The Scouting team set up the tablets for match and alliance scouting and assigned roles for everyone on the subteam. There will be training for each of these roles to prepare for the upcoming competition.

The Business subteams have also been on the grind!

The Imagery subteam is currently working on decals and posters with pictures from events that the AdamBots participate in such as Relay for Life and off-season competitions. The Sustainability subteam finalized and printed the sustainability plan. They also created flyers that promote battery recycling to put up around the school and will be making an informational video or photo slide deck that promotes and explains how to use the bins. Certain members also worked on creating a presentation on AI and business to present to the team. The Imagery subteam printed posters, impact board, and stickers, updated sponsors as we got a new one, and updated notebook covers. The Media subteam made a page of STEM advocacy and the Photo/Video subteam organized their Google Drive. They are preparing to take photos and document the upcoming Kettering competition.
