Fourth week

Another successful week for the Adambots!

The Engineering teams are performing admirably and are getting ready for the assembly of the final robot. The Chassis is on its way to completion.

The Mechanical Subteam has made great progress with the shooter assembly as well as the floor pick-up mechanisms. We also have to climb on chains and the spools for the climber, motors with ratchets and solenoids are complete. The CAD subteam is working up the drawings of the pieces we need for the robot so that the components are precisely made. The Programming subteam is continuing their changes in their systems and is working with the cameras and LIDAR systems using last year’s chassis. The Electrical subteam created a prototype of the circuit board on the cassis and laid out all the components. They also added a photo eye sensor and limelight for programming.

The Business teams are closing in fast with their projects and submissions.

The Impact subteam has finalized their essay and executive summary. They have also decided on a final presentation type and selected the presenters for the competitions and have ordered the components necessary for their presentation. The Sustainability subteam identified the graphics that needed changing, worked on fixing the heading and formatting in each section, and created a slideshow to present to the team that covers the business plan and environment sustainability. The Imagery subteam updated the decals on the 2009 robot used for outreach and worked on finishing some posters for the pit. The Photo/Video subteam is finalizing pieces of the Impact video and are nearing the end of that project. They also held a picture day on Saturday the 27th for new and veteran students to take their individual pictures. For the Adambots that missed that, the retakes/makeups are on February 3rd! The Media team worked on creating pages for the new students after finishing the veteran pages. They also started to relocate the OCCRA information in order to make room for a section on STEM advocacy

The Supply Chain subteam ordered parts for Mechanical, Electrical, and Impact. The Scouting subteam went over different scouting methods and decided on two different options. They also are going to try to figure out the most efficient way to store the scouting information to make it easily accessible and also start practicing for more consistency.
