2018 FRC Blogs: Post-Build

IMG_7600Our 2018 build season concluded last Tuesday with Bag and Tag Day! Around the world, every team was required to stop working at midnight and put their robot in a bag, not to be touched again until competitions. We finished ours at 9:47 PM! We can’t wait to see how Rosalina the robot competes at the Kettering 1 District Event this weekend.

Stopping build doesn’t mean stopping work. Our engineering teams continued to develop our practice robot to ensure we know the optimal use of our the competition robot. Our business teams continued to ready the presenters, documents, and robot decals for competitions.

Saturday also marked our annual open house, Meet the AdamBots! We were glad to show all our partners who we are and what we do. Several school administrators and board members came to see us, and we even gave Senator Knollenberg a tour! The event began with a presentation on all aspects of the team, then shifted to a self-guided tour, then finished with a robot demonstration. Audience members got to meet our students and mentors and watched us going about our work, including drive team tryouts. It was an exciting day for all involved. We thank our AdamBots family for staying in our nucleus!
