Build Season Week 2

This past week each team made significant progress and the robot design and build is going good.  We are moving along on schedule at the moment. This was the first week of actual build which meant homework time and different teams meeting each night.  On Thursday night, we got together from 7-9pm for a design review to present designs and see how we were doing based on our schedule.

• The Chassis Team finished the chassis on Saturday and will be working with the Controls & Electronics team to get the chassis running by the end of next Saturday.
• The Mechanism/Manipulator & Arm Team has a design for the arm and has been working on specific dimensions.  They plan on possibly beginning build on the upper arm during week 3 while prototyping different grippers.
• The Above Chassis Team has a final design for the minibot deployment mechanism.  They will get it “CADed” in coming week and possibly begin build.
• The Field Team has completed the practice field items!
• The Programming Team has the prototype arm that the Controls & Electronics Team crafted, working.  They are also experimenting with the line trackers.
• The Controls & Electronics Team has been working with other teams to finalize what’s needed on the control board.  They have also been working with the CAD team on creating diagrams.
• The Marketing & Website Team spent Saturday scanning old pictures and documents to put on the website.
• The Project Management Team worked on organizing the business plan outline they had created the previous week.  We now have a outline and we will begin writing this coming week!
