Sub-Teams

Here, you'll find links to information and resources from our sub-teams. Our team is split up into several sub-teams which work together. The distinction between teams varies throughout each season, and at times everyone is virtually fused together into one team.

Project Management

The Project Management Team exists to keep each part of the team running smoothly together, maintaining a time frame for robot construction, and ensure that each and every person on the team has a specific and important role to the team.

Project Manager: Dean Keithly
Team Mentor(s): Rick Drummer, Warren Hildebrandt

Robot Design

This is the one team that will merge/split. This team is first responsible for developing robot design alternatives and specifics, after understanding competition rules and discussing strategy. Secondly, some this team will merge with the Build Team and go through with their design, and the rest will go with the AutoCAD Team and turn their design into a 3D virtual model.

Team Leader: The AdamBots Team Leadership
Team Mentor(s): Warren Hildebrandt

Robot Build

The Adams Robotics Build Team is just that. It is the team dedicated to the design and creation of the physical robot.

Team Leader: Jerry Lin
Team Mentor(s): Warren Hildebrandt, Gary Clark, Peter Pirozzo, Bob Schuster, Larry Garstick

Drive Team and Pit Crew

At competitions, the Drive Team and Pit Crew are responsible for working on the the robot, driving it, and programming the robot (when in need)

Team Mentor: Warren Hildebrandt

Materials

The materials team decides which materials to buy and goes out and buys them.

Team Mentor: Paul Slaby

Field Build Team

The Field Build Team is exactly what it says. It builds an operational replica of the field for the Drive Team to practice with the robot on.

Team Leader: Yutaka Iwasaki
Team Mentor(s): Paul Slaby, Warren Hildebrandt

Programming

The Programming team is responsible for all computer-based aspects of the robot. This included learning new programs and writing some programs to control the robot. Programming workshops will be set-up for new and returning members.

Team Leader: Dean Keithly
Team Mentor(s): Greg Cesiel

Robot Shipping/Bagging

This is a last minute Sub-Team, being a Michigan team, we bag the bot now. If we go to Nationals the shipping crate must be prepared.

Team Leader: Dean Keithly
Team Mentor(s): Warren Hildebrandt and Grace Drummer

Finance

Team members will help with purchasing and budgets for the team.

Team Leader: Sidd Menon
Team Mentor(s): Rick Drummer

Website

The Adams Robotics Website Team is more than the dedicated team of students updating the website: due to our wiki nature, everyone is part of the Website Team, updating news articles and uploading media whenever possible.

Team Leader: Ryan Cesiel
Team Mentor(s): None... Website Team is self-sustaining for the 2010 season.

AutoCAD Team

Just like an Animation Team would draw 3D objects and animate them on 3Ds Max software, the AutoCAD team draws the team's robot design in 3D on Inventor, and might draw the design in the 2D viewing angles (front, top, and right sides) also, on Autodesk software.

Team Leader: Eduardo Cerame
Team Mentor(s): Warren Hildebrandt

Chairman's Honors

The Adams Robotics Chairman's Team not only creates a presentation for the Chairman's award, but also oversees any operations that would make us eligible for FIRST's most prestigious award. The Chairman's Team is also responsible for team marketing, fundraising, and public relations.

Team Leader: Edna Chiang
Team Mentor(s): Grace Drummer, Rick Drummer, Warren Hildebrandt

Scouting

The Adams Robotics Scouting Team gathers information about teams before and during competitions to allow for alliance selection, game strategy, and team marketing.

Team Leader: Lucas Mitchell
Team Mentor(s): Rick Drummer

Photography and Videography

The Adams Robotics Photo & Video Team takes photos/videos of the team, our robot, competitions, and the robots of other teams. They are also responsible for organizing these pictures.

Team Leader: Becky Everson, Ryan Cesiel
Team Mentor(s): Rick Drummer

Team Spirit

This group of people handles the team spirit of our team. They make sure that we are cheering for our team full force when our robot is out there. These artistic people are also in charge of making team icons and spirit items for the AdamBots to display and/or hand out.

Team Leader: Sidd Menon
Team Mentor(s): Grace Drummer

Travel

This small group of people is pretty much entirely in charge of Permission Slips and Logistics - rooms, travel, communications, and Coordination with other Rochester Schools.

Team Mentor(s): Grace Drummer
RAHS Secretary: Angela Dickenson
