(3/15/08): Detroit Regional Results

Well, it's official, the Detroit Regional for 2008 is complete and team 245 didn't win.

We had two seeding matches in the morning, winning one and losing the other. That put us into 14th place overall. At the alliance pick, Danielle was sent to represent our team and was a bit panicky that we just might end up getting to choose alliances ourselves. As it was, The 7th place alliance, team 1506 (Stoney Creek HS), picked us. On the second pick, team 247 from Berkley was the third robot.

Our first match was against the 2nd place alliance, teams 27 (Clarkston HS), 47 (Pontiac Central) and 453 (Clinton Township). Team 27 had one of the best shooters in the contest. They won the first round. Second round went to our alliance, partly because Team 27 broke something! They were strong though and came back to win the tie-breaker.

Team 27's alliance went on to a second place finish with team 217 (Utica), 469 (the IA) and 440 winning the competition. Team 27 also won the top award, the Chairman's Award.

(1/05/08): FIRST Kick-off and New Website!

After waiting for so long, the FIRST Kick-off finally came. After hours of "important" speeches and long talks, the moment finally came. FIRST Overdrive was unveiled. However, the webcast unfortunately started to lose signal and all the information on the game was missed. However, 20 or so minutes later, they replayed it and we learned all about it. To learn more about FIRST Overdrive, visit this page.

AdamBots v3, the official title given to this current yellow and black theme, was released. The new theme came out due to the lack of color in the last team website (and how it didn't represent us very well). Due to to several posts made on Chief Delphi, AdamBots.com also hit it's all-time high for visits in one day. 139 different people checked out our site.
