Our Robots
Large Robot
The 2008 OCCRA Robot was a four wheel tank drive robot. It was built on the FIRST kit frame which was new to the OCCRA kit for 2008. Above the Chassis were two aluminum A frames with a 1/2 inch steel rod spanning between them. Attached to the rod was the arm that hit the ball and a large sprocket the drove the arm up and down. The ball bin was also located between the two A frames. The robot preformed relativily well during the competitions, consistently scoring two field goals. It also won two Judges awards.
Vex Robot
The Vex robot really came together during the week of the championship. The Arm was designed after Team 97's Vex robot. During the Championship our vex robot along with our alliances vex robot consistently cleared the Vex Field of footballs. Many of our matches were decided by the scoring of the Vex robot.
Please see the media gallery for pictures of this year's robot.
