FIRST Robotics
FIRST Robotics is an international robotics competition founded by Dean Kamen. The intent of FIRST is to give students the possibility to learn things that they would not normally learn in a classroom situation, such as engineering, programming, and even public relations skills.

FIRST's Vision
FIRST stands for For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. It's goal is, "to create a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology heroes." FIRST helps students learn a variety of skills through competition.
The People Behind FIRST
Many people help make FIRST happen every year. Without these people, we wouldn't have FIRST. Below are just a few of the people that have helped make FIRST what it is today and continue to make it better.
| Dean KamenDean Kamen is the founder of FIRST. During robotics-related events he is usually found with Woodie Flowers. Besides his involvement with FIRST, Kamen has invented the Segway, an insulin pump, and, most recently, a wheelchair based off of the Segway design. |
Volunteers
FIRST currently has over 65,000 that help make it happen. The AdamBots are very thankful for our own mentors and all the volunteers that make FIRST happen.
Our Involvement
Adams High School is Team 245 in FIRST Robotics. We've been competing in FIRST since 1999, our rookie year, and have been successful for many years. Our team has won regionals, our division at the Championship and competed once in the semifinals at the Championship. We have also had the great honor of winning a Regional Chairman's Award.

History of FRC
Below are information on the FIRST Robotics Competition games since 1992. Click on the link above the game logo to visit a game's page. Since the AdamBots were not a team prior to 1999, we've linked all games prior to 1999 to Wikipedia.
