What are 2 fun facts about you?

My nickname is “Yoshi”. I can move my body from side-to-side as I keep my head in the same position.

Why did you join the AdamBots?

When I was little, I saw a demo of a robot from the AdamBots. Since then, it was always a dream that I join a high school robotics team. I did not have the opportunity to be on a robotics team at my middle school, so my passion for this team intensely grew.

What have you learned from being on the team?

The experiences on this team and the knowledge that I have gained vastly differs from any other club that I have joined. I learned how to use power tools, present to adults, communicate to others, and much more. Being on the AdamBots enables me to open up to people on different teams and become friends. I look forward to expanding my knowledge as a student and as a team member to help aid our team.

What is special about FIRSTor what are you looking forward to this year in FIRST

FIRST is a program that teaches the fields of STEM in a hands-on way that emphasizes on building robots and building connections. This program allows students to collaborate with each other and with experienced adults to solve tasks that will not be presented in a regular classroom. These real-world tasks span from gaining sponsors to performing demos to elementary students. FIRST allows communities to grow, teams to grow, students to grow, and most importantly, our knowledge to grow.

What is your favorite team memory?

My favorite team memory is when at St. Louis, one of my roommates tried to use the microwave for a 3-minute Mac-n-Cheese but forgot to put the water in. We panicked. It resulted in a strong foul smell that night, and we slept for only an hour on the floor right next the door.
