What are 2 fun facts about you?

I taught myself how to use Photoshop while in the fifth grade, making graphics for different websites and forums.
I have six sisters and one brother, three of my sisters and my dad have been on this team.

Why did you join the AdamBots?

My sister was already on the team, and it was something that I didn’t know much about and was very curious. I was eager to help with the website and marketing of the team.

What is your favorite memory from robotics?

Some of my favorite memories from being on the team involve Team LamBot. Seeing them do so well since meeting them my freshman year, watching them win the 2011 Championship Rookie-All Star Award, from seeing them just last year winning the 2013 Championship Engineering Inspiration Award. They’re just so much fun to be around and talk to. Hanging out with them last year in St. Louis, playing card games and talking, and cheering for each other, some of the most memorable moments I’ve had while being on the team.

What have you learned from being on the team?

Despite being on all non-engineering teams, I’m surprised about the amount of engineering knowledge I’ve picked up from my peers on the team. I’ve also learned a lot about how to talk to people and different things about how to professionally compose myself.

What is special about FIRST?

It’s a unique opportunity that gives kids of all ages the experience they could only get from actually being in the work force. They’re able to learn from both their mentors and peers and compete and learn with students all around the world.
