What are 2 fun facts about you?
I’m very interested in political science.
I enjoy attending hackathons and building cool things.
Why did you join the Adambots?
I had seen FIRST robots running a few times in middle school, and thought they were really cool. I realized early on that I wanted to be an engineer and the robotics team was a great way to exercise that interest.
What is your favorite memory from robotics?
The 2009 Kettering district. I can remember downloading code to the robot that basically bricked our cRIO and we were only able to get it working a few minutes before our first match. We went on to be the 1st seed and district champions. That year the Adambots had a highly successful season with a very robust and simple robot.
What have you learned from being on the team?
There are too many things to list here: Leadership, build, programming, communication, marketing, work ethic etc. The team provides so many opportunities to learn and grow.
What is special about FIRST?
It’s an awesome experience where you’re always learning and being challenged, as both a mentor and student. No matter what your skill set, there is a place for you to contribute.
