What are 2 fun facts about you?

I have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
I was once in a riot and a plane crash within 36 hours of each other.

Why did you join the Adambots?

In high school, because some of my friends were joining and it sounded cool.  As a mentor, because I’ve been a Website Award judge in the past, and the New Media (formerly Website) team could use my knowledge of what the judges were looking for.

What is your favorite memory from robotics?

My favorite memory is going to Nationals at Epcot as a senior, and the big after-hours party they threw in the park after the competition.

What have you learned from being on the team?

As a student, I learned a lot about project planning and time management.  As a mentor, I’ve had additional experience in running meetings and coordinating large, sometimes unruly and highly distractible groups.

What is special about FIRST?

I think FIRST is highly valuable for the opportunity it affords students to apply their engineering and computer skills in an environment that requires teamwork, planning and leadership. I am excited to learn how to design and build the robot as well as going to competitions. I am also very interested to start learning about how my sub-teams work.
