What are 2 fun facts about you?

I am a Hokie; I have driven 106 laps on Germany’s Nurburgring

Why did you join the AdamBots?

The team needed a Business Planning mentor, and with how enthusiastic my daughter was about the AdamBots, I had no choice.

What is your favorite memory from robotics?

My first FIRST Championship at COBO.

What have you learned from being on the team?

It’s amazing how much of FIRST applies to the business world. I am a better manager and leader for having been involved with the AdamBots.

Do you have any tips for the current AdamBots?

Look beyond the AdamBots. The FIRST community is huge and welcoming. There is so much you can learn and so many relationships you can make by just putting yourself out there.

What is something you would have wanted to do differently to reach where you are today? (career-wise or to get to the AdamBots)

I would have gotten into cars sooner. Long story. Ask me sometime.

What is special about FIRST?

The strength and consistency of its culture. That’s hard to find in an organization this big.
