What are 2 fun facts about you?

I’m an Eagle Scout.
I play the trombone.

Why did you join the AdamBots?

I joined the AdamBots so that I could learn how to apply some of the math and engineering I’ve learned. Where else can I program and CAD on a team in high school?

What is your favorite memory from robotics?

My favorite memory from robotics was being at the World Championship in St. Louis last year. Everything from cheering on teams in the stands, to scouting in the pits, to the bus ride was a blast! My favorite part was visiting the companies and colleges in the pits.

What have you learned from being on the team?

While I’ve been on the team, I’ve gotten much better at programming. Before I joined, I had no idea how to do anything, and now I can at least help with the code on the robot. I’ve also learned everything I know about working with metal, and a lot about using power tools.

What is special about FIRST?

FIRST is special because it shows how well a team can work together when everyone is committed. Somehow in just a few weeks we go from a game to a working robot, and it’s incredible that the team can do that. It always amazes me that so many separate parts come together and work successfully.
